Fabricated Carbon Steel Tower Storage Rack for the Medical Industry
At Precision Wire Products we specialize in the custom fabrication of wire based products for customers in a wide range of industries. The project highlighted here was fabricated for a manufacturer of medical materials, however its innovative and versatile design make it suitable for many other applications. Originally designed as tower storage rack shelving units, it utilized various specialized fabrication processes and techniques.
Carbon steel wire in diameters of .1875" and .250" was straightened and sheared, then bent on our brake press. These pieces were then loaded into a custom built automated welder that was equipped with fixturing that was specifically built for this project. Once welded, end wires were nibbled, and the entire unit received a durable powder coat finish. Measuring 25" in length, and 18.5" in width, it is subject to a full battery of dimensional and visual inspections.
